Thailand ranked 18th for Doing Business

No changes for the 2nd year in a row

USPA NEWS - Despite all the problems in Thailand over the past year doing business in Thailand is still considered profitable according to the World Bank's report showing that Thailand remains 18th position for a second year in a row.
Even though Thailand's ranking will drop this year from 17th in 2012 to 18th, Thailand continues to be an attractive proposition for doing businesses in ASEAN, after Singapore and Malaysia.

Coming out on top in the World Bank's report is Singapore which remains at the top position in the world for the 7th year running out of 189 countries to do business.

Starting and running a new business relates to it's countries rules, regulations and protection of property rights, according to the World Bank´s Doing Business 2013 report.
Eleventh in a series of annual reports comparing business regulation in 189 economies, Doing Business 2014 measures regulations affecting 11 areas of everyday business activity:

Starting a business
Dealing with construction permits
Getting electricity
Registering property
Getting credit
Protecting investors
Paying taxes
Trading across borders
Enforcing contracts
Closing a business
Employing workers

The report updates all indicators as of June 1, 2013, ranks economies on their overall “ease of doing business“, and analyzes reforms to business regulation ““ identifying which economies are strengthening their business environment the most.
